I had my wedding @ Raisin L Ranch. The venue is beautiful. The only reason for the bad review is because when we reserved the place, the owners specifically told us that they have to “pick people up the next morning”. So, we served a lot of alcohol. At exactly midnight to the second, they kicked 200 drunk people out and put them on the road. Raisin in quite a few miles outside of Victoria and taxis service is very hard.

Raisin L Ranch is the most beautiful rustic venue in South Texas. George and Lynette are AMAZING people to work with, we booked our wedding more than 18 months in advance after hearing horror stories about the “similar” venue who had a rude owner and rat stories. They set up a payment plan, made it easy to afford, and then at that time they had the place decked out for Christmas so made our decorating the hall very simple. Everything does cost a little extra, but they offered a drink service for so much per person and they got unlimited sodas, tea, punch ALL night! We loved that deal, then everytime someone would tip for a soda, they would ring the bell and we ended up with a couple hundred for our honeymoon just from that! Also a bonfire, AWESOME to have if it’s chilly. Not to mention, the owners are there on site, HELPING with everything, constantly! So helpful! As for the earlier review about them kicking out their guests at midnight, I don’t blame the oweners, if you sign a contract, that is the contract…I could see being upset if they kicked them out at 1130, but if it’s midnight, midnight is midnight and any venue would do the same. I definitely recommend Raisin L Ranch!

The venue is very nice I must say. The owners were very nice when my parents , fiance ,and I initially visited the location, when I called with questions, and when I payed the full $2500.00 up front in cash to rent the place for our September wedding. I paid the extras like the curtain on the stage $100.00 to cover the DJ during the ceremony, the hourly cost for decorating, and for rehearsal the night before. However, the day of my wedding the owner, Lynette, was in a very bad mood, was running around huffing ,and puffing with a sour look on her face, she told my mother my wedding was the most disorganized she’d ever seen, she made a comment about the caterer we chose, and I remember at one moment (supposed to be the happiest day of my life) when I looked up grinning from ear to ear ,and looked over at her to try ,and wave ,and she ignored me totally ,and gave an awful disgusted look. Her husband , on the other hand, was wonderful. He was nice to everyone. So Bride’s beware…the place is beautiful ,but to be treated ,or have family, and friends treated like crap on one of the best days of your life you might think twice before renting this place.
